As huge fans of the monochrome palette and simple silhouettes, we’re loving the revival of the oversized t-shirt and what it means for summer styling. Whether stripped back or loaded with layered necklaces, the simple graphic tee is an essential that doesn’t completely push the boundaries but won’t fail to add a different dimension to any outfit this summer.
At By Bel, we love minimalistic styling and one off pieces that offer that ‘go-anywhere’ type of appeal. Since all of my artworks are custom designed, ranging from the quirky to the semi brave, we’ve definitely got a number of interesting iterations of the printed graphic tee.
An accessible staple that can be dressed up or down, keep reading for my favourite eclectic ways to wear a t shirt this summer.
Fitted “Blink” tee with classic light wash denim.
Rain, hail or shine, one of the ultimate styling ideas is to tuck a graphic tee into a relaxed pair of neutral or linen pants. Particularly during the summer months, you can throw on a t shirt for casual days in the office and dress it up for drinks after work with friends. Easy, relaxed and shaped with a little stimulus from the art of the streets, if total monochrome isn’t for you, add a little colour to your look with a pair of sneakers or sandals in a shade that pops.
Whether you go for masculine shaped tapered shorts cut just above the knee or sporty running shorts for a Nineties vibe that’s a natural partner for printed t shirts - don’t underestimate the power of a pair of shorts styled with a playful graphic tee. Style our Baby Purse t shirt with flatform sandals or your favourite pair of sneakers. And if you want to sharpen up your look a little? Try throwing on a lightweight oversized blazer.
The style that keeps on giving every time the warm weather rolls back around. Summertime white looks cool, especially when worn with a simple loose white or black t shirt and a pair of plain sandals or sneakers. In fact, as soon as the sun starts shining, we personally love to throw on a white tee with a pair of white vintage jeans.
Oversized fit “Goggleman” tee paired with a neutral tennis skirt.
We can’t think of a better (or easier!) way of updating a fresh printed t shirt than with some chain necklaces and layered jewellery. Whether you’re heading to work or heading to your favourite local café, you could be about to find the missing link to your summer styling woes. Quite literally. The Dancing Ladies t shirt celebrates the art of performance, so why not add a little more drama to it with your favourite jewellery and cut-off denims.
Perfect for the summer months when restricted silhouettes are a no go, you can’t really beat a simple tee combo.
We believe in throw-on-and-go type of clothes that are easy to wear, and easy on the planet. Combining sustainable fabrics and my love of art, I’ve created a collection of printed unisex tees that I hope you guys love wearing as much as I love designing.
